I am a Nutritionist with a Masters in Human Nutrition from Texas Woman's University. I originally pursued nutrition with a different career path in mind, but fell deeply in love with it along the way. I began focusing on my own health and wellness journey and quickly realized how much I felt better, had more energy, and loved life even more than ever. I wanted to be able to share that happiness. So, I began helping others be empowered to take their own health and wellness into their own hands. I am big believer in functional nutrition, uncovering the root cause instead of just addressing the symptoms, teaching others that there is no ‘one-size’ fits all approach, and moderation...never underestimate the power of chocolate cake , but also empower yourself to give your body the nutrients that will help you thrive!
I am a totally a foodie at heart. In middle school, I was that kid that ran home after school just to turn on Paula Dean, Barefoot Contessa, or Rachel Ray. The kitchen is where I marry my passion for nutrition and cooking. To this day, I absolutely love to cook, bake, try new restaurants and foods, and I enjoy challenging myself to replicate recipes. I love spending time with my family, playing tennis, cycling and dreaming of being at a beach somewhere!
A funny nutrition story… My first date with my husband was at a grocery store. I was offering grocery store tours as part of my job and he asked if I could take him on one so he could recommend them to his clients as he is a personal trainer. Sneaky sneaky! During our store tour he filled up his basket with all types of healthy foods, just to impress me. (I found most of them expired in his pantry a year late!)
That next week at work he brought me a lasagna made with zucchini noodles instead of pasta noodles, A for effort, but It was absolutely AWFUL! Nonetheless, I thanked him, ate it with a smile, and made a mental note to teach him how to cook. He won me over with his terrible lasagna and sneaky first date. I have since taught him so much in the kitchen that he calls himself Chef Adedipe and actually is trusted enough to do all the grocery shopping :)
