3/25/21 Update
We are currently working to get an accurate Android app out to our members.
This is a top priority for our Product team and over the past couple weeks we've been working on the following:
- Improving our calibration process and tweaking it to be more consistent and accurate for Android (and all devices).
- Performing experiments and gathering extensive data on a variety of Android devices to test performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Improving our fiducial detection and auto cropping processing on all images processed through our algorithms.
Once these changes are implemented, we are cautiously optimistic Samsung S lines will be ready to go. We’ll report back after calibration improvements are made and tested. As soon as this is complete we can continue our efforts to expand support for additional Android devices.

3/4/21 Update
We officially launched the Android App in January 2021 and are actively working through reported bugs to enhance the member experience and testing accuracy.
We are expecting to have the S9, S20 and S10 models ready for deployment by March 9th.
This is a top priority for our Product team and in just the past week we've made the following updates to the Android app:
- In order to efficiently give accessibility to our Android app, most of our work has been focused on the Android devices used by the majority of our user base. At the top of list is the Samsung Galaxy S line.
- The S9, S10 and S20 are very close to being complete. We are aligning fiducial for all three devices.
This work includes:
- Correcting the black and white levels that are hard coded into the raw camera images
- Ensuring images are displaying RGB values correctly
- Calibrating color correction to optimize accurate results when passed through our algorithms
Once these changes are implemented, we will continue to run tests and make improvements to the Samsung Note and Google Pixel devices. Once complete, work will continue to expand support for additional Android devices.
Keep checking back here to see the list of enhancements grow as we make progress. We are fully committed to being transparent about the process and keeping our users informed of any updates and expected resolution dates. Thank you for your continued support.

2/12/21 Update
We officially launched the Android App in January 2021 and are actively working through reported bugs to enhance the member experience and testing accuracy.
This is a top priority for our Product team and in just the past week we've made significant updates to the Android implementation:
- Our team has corrected levels that are hardcoded into the camera image which results in images displaying values correctly and giving members accurate results.
- We're running calibrations on multiple Android models to identify the differences so we can expand the list of supported Android devices.
Android development will be an ongoing process here at Vessel and we are dedicated to making improvements consistently so our members can have the best possible testing experience. We expect to have the Android App up to speed in the next two weeks (By February 28th).
Keep checking back here to see the list of enhancements grow as we make progress.
We are really committed to being transparent about the process and keeping you informed of any updates and expected resolution dates. Thank you for your continued support!

- We’ve run a number of calibrations on Samsung Galaxy devices and have been correcting levels that are hardcoded into the devices camera sensors. These changes to our algorithms have resulted in improvements to the accuracy of our readings.

We’re finalizing these adjustments and we will start by releasing a fix for specific Samsung Galaxy S models. We expect to push an update for the Galaxy S line next week . Then, once these changes are implemented, we will continue to run tests and make improvements to the Samsung Note and Google Pixel devices. Once complete, work will continue to expand support for additional Android devices.
